A YouTuber has opened up about the intimate reality of living with a penile implant after years of erectile dysfunction.
Daymson Patterson, better known online as Daym Drops, has spoken openly to his 1.7 million subscribers about undergoing surgery to treat his erectile dysfunction, explaining exactly what happens when he wants to become aroused now.
Patterson had previously discussed his struggles with erectile dysfunction and wanted to explain the treatment to other men who may be experiencing something similar.
After completing his recovery, Patterson explained how the penile implant works and how he attains an erection. Unlike a natural erection, the implant is mechanically activated using a pump, with Patterson explaining how the mechanism, which is situated inside his scrotum, controls the erection.
Patterson explained that part of the system sits inside the scrotum and is connected to a fluid reservoir and inflatable cylinders.
"The last one is the actual device inside of your penis. So, you're going to pump the ball, which is, of course, going to activate the liquid that's going to come from the pouch in your abdomen and go right here into the shaft."
He claimed, "But you control your erection. You control it 100%. There is no moments anymore of can I or will I perform. It's you're always ready for every single occasion at any given time of the day."
Discussing one of the biggest differences between the implant and a natural erection, Patterson said: “There is a little deflate nodule that you have to push until your boy's back to chilling again."
However, until that is activated, the erection will be sustained.
For the social media star, the biggest benefit of the procedure appears to be regaining confidence after years of dealing with ED.
"You wished upon a star in hopes that you could be sexually active. And sometimes it was a hit or miss. Well, now after you get the prosthetic penis, the implant, the coloplast, the titan, right?"
"Now that once you get that family, you're back in control of your life. You get to get that back. You get to get that confidence back."
