They say that some people just aren't cut out for office work and this story is one of the most extreme cases of that notion.

Cara Douglas, 37, quit her job as a banker in order to become a sex toy tester. The mother of two claims that she become so bored of her corporate job - which was paying her £60,000 a year - that she decided to quit and begin reviewing vibrators, lubricant and other sexual aids.

Although she has cut her salary in half, Cara says that she is having 20 orgasms a week and now tests her toys with her fiance, Daren. According to Cara, it was worth losing out on the cash as she enjoys her new job much more.

"I am earning half what I was in banking but I am having twice as much fun,' she said.

"I hated being a banker and now I get paid for doing something I feel really passionate about.

"I have always loved sex toys so I am very lucky to have made a career out of what was my hobby having 20 orgasms a week reviewing toys."

She added: "I often have to review couples' toys with Darren. Obviously, that is fun to do but you have to maintain your professionalism and work out what aspects of the product work well and what don't.

"Overall I would say that my job enhances our sex life. Sex is like a muscle - the more you use it, the more active it is."

While her choice of career may be controversial, Cara claims that other moms on the school run often ask her for tips.

"Most of the mums have their own sex toys anyway. They are so popular these days, particularly since the explosion of interest sparked by Fifty Shades of Grey.

"I even bought a vibrator for my mother-in-law. She was very grateful."

The 37-year-old began reviewing toys after having her first child and later went on to set up her own blog, known as the Cara Sutra. After becoming one of the best-known reviewers in the industry, Cara now reviews for Lovehoney and earns a percentage of any sales made from her blog.

Speaking about her foray into reviewing, she said:  "I had always had a higher than average sex drive and a natural curiosity to experiment.

"I had loved using sex toys and lots more opportunities came up due to the growth in online retail. I was then lucky enough to win an award and my name became well known for honest reviews.

"Lovehoney knows that I am always going to be completely honest about its products. If a toy gives me lots of orgasms then it will probably get ten out of ten, but if it is a dud I have to let my readers know."

The mother added that she is lucky to have a supportive partner, who has stood by her despite her peculiar career choice.

"I am lucky that I have a partner who shares my interest in toys," Cara said.

"We work well together and can provide a male and female perspective on a product's merits. I am very lucky to get paid to do a job that I love.

"Sex toys have changed my life in so many positive ways.

"To me they are like sexual 'seasoning' - they add so much flavour to sex and can bring greater levels of intimacy to your sex life as a couple.

"They make sure things never get stagnant."

A Lovehoney spokesperson said:  "Cara is one of our most popular reviewers. Customers like the fact she doesn't pull her punches.

"We work with lots of other reviewers who earn cash from their reviews through our affiliate programme. It is great to have lots of fun and earn a few quid at the same time."

No doubt some people may view Cara's career choice as controversial but, at the end of the day, she's making decent money to orgasm a lot. Can't fault her, really.
