In a chilling account that intertwines survival with the supernatural, Eilish Poe, a 25-year-old elementary school teacher, recounts a traumatizing encounter with her ex-boyfriend and the eerie visions that have followed since.

This captivating story has been making waves on the internet after Poe recently opened up on the Otherworld podcast.

The traumatic incident occurred on November 4, 2020, when Poe, a resident of Colorado, faced a life-threatening assault by her ex Jonathan Crossley, 25. Shockingly, Crossley had been lurking in her home's crawlspace for over 24 hours.

Reliving the nightmare, Poe detailed how she had innocently gone to check on her pet rabbit when Crossley attacked her. She described, "He then pushed me down the stairs, causing lasting injuries. He grabbed my long hair and repeatedly smashed my head into the wall."

The ordeal escalated with Crossley stabbing Poe 16 times across her neck, torso, and arms. It was Poe's quick thinking, where she feigned death, that finally led to Crossley fleeing the scene.

But what followed the assault was something even more surreal. As she lay gravely wounded, Poe recounts witnessing a "carousel of people" who had passed away.

The most poignant vision was of her late grandmother, who died in 2014. "My paternal grandmother was standing right there, just quaintly smiling at me," Poe revealed.

This vision was shortly replaced by an image of a friend who tragically ended her life a few months before the incident. "It felt like a bonus time, even just for a fleeting moment, to see her and be near her again," Poe expressed emotionally.

The aftermath of the tragedy saw Crossley's own tragic end as he chose to take his life by jumping off a cliff.

Poe's journey to healing and recovery involved a harrowing 10 surgeries. However, her recovery has been accompanied by unusual sightings. Poe claims to have witnessed "shadowy figures" on numerous occasions, estimating their appearances to range between 50 to 100 times.

She speculated, "I think because I almost crossed over, maybe those shadow people are souls in limbo, and that's why I can perceive them."

For some, this enthralling narrative blurs the lines between reality and the supernatural, leading to widespread discussions among people online.

Over on Facebook, one person noted: "Thats was very terrifying and any person could be Psychologically affected."

Another commented: "They say ghosts and apparitions are proof of a multiple layered reality. We are beings of light after all…"

This sympathetic commenter said: "Oh poor lady. Wishing you strength and healing in your recovery."
