Tattoo artist turns people's body scars into incredible tattoos

A tattoo artist is helping people to embrace their body scars by creating beautiful tattoos centered around them.

Of course, the first thing to say is that covering body scars is by no means necessary, but if people want to create some stunning body art from their scars, perhaps as a personal tribute to the story of how it came to be, then that can be a very powerful thing.

One Vietnamese tattoo artist spoke to BoredPanda about their work and passion - tattoos centered around body scars.

"My passion is all about tattooing over scars, burns, birthmarks, or any imperfections on the bodies. I believe that a well-done, beautifully constructed tattoo will not only change a person’s image but also lift their confidence and overcome insecurities," they said.

It certainly seems as though it's the season for tattoos now, as well. Post Malone recently took to social media to share a picture of his newly-shaved head and giant new skull tattoo.

Post captioned the post;

"I have cut my hair even shorter, also skeletons are cool. Spread your heart as much as you can. A little love goes farther than you think. Stay strong, and keep kicking ass. Love, Austin"

Speaking of the most painful places to get a tattoo, Fredrik Glimskär CEO of Inkbay, an online tattoo marketplace. He has the following to say about getting inked;

“Tattoos are great, but I’d be lying if I said they were completely pain-free.

"There's no place on your body where you won’t feel the scratch of the needle to some extent, but there are certain places that hurt more than others".

He goes on to list the ribcage, head, inner thigh, inner arm or elbow, the feet and ankles, the inside wrist, hands and fingers, and the armpit as the most painful places to get inked. You can read more about that here.
