This has been a bad year. There are no two ways about it.

Now, one family has shed some brilliantly hilarious light this strangest of all years with their incredibly apt 'This is fine' Halloween house decoration.

Now, on the off chance that you're unfamiliar with the meme, it was taken from artist KC Green's 2013 webcomic "On Fire," and it's become a popular choice for hard times online, such as during 2016 when many of the world's most well-loved celebrities passed away.

And the meme clearly resonated a lot with this resident in Irvington, Indianapolis, who decided to turn it into a very 2020-relevant Halloween decoration.

"This house in my neighborhood every year nails Halloween decorations," 36-year-old Angela Taylor (@funangela) tweeted on Sunday alongside two snaps of the gloriously relatable display.

The display features a sign that reads "THIS IS FINE" above a window filled with flames, which, at night, is illuminated and completed with a cardboard cut-out of the hat-wearing dog.

But we have to admit that there's only room for one tiny, slight improvement... The dog could have been wearing a face mask. Safety first, after all!

Taylor explained that the residents of the town of Irvington are extremely big on Halloween, and they have every reason to be.

"Irvington was named after Washington Irving and celebrates all things Halloween," Taylor said in a Twitter DM cited by Mashable. "It has a rich history [and] names like [serial killer] H.H. Holmes lived here."

This, however, is simply the latest display from a household that's become well-known for its impressive Halloween decorations.

"Some past windows have been a dinner setup with a family of skeletons, one year spiders that dropped down when you walk past [sic]," Taylor recalled.

"It's a quaint neighborhood with lots of homes that take pride with their Halloween decorations," she explained, adding that, for understandable reasons, the town has had to cancel its annual Halloween Street Fair for the first time in 74 years.
