A Twitter user has gone viral after sharing a video of a passenger on a long haul flight controlling a TV with their feet.

The footage was shared to the microblogging website by NY Times bestselling author Alafair Burke yesterday and was captioned: "My friend who doesn’t have twitter sent this from her flight. It belongs on Twitter."

This is the clip that's got the entire internet talking:

However, as is the case with so many things on the internet, viewers did not properly read the caption before watching, and many jumped to the conclusion that the person in the video was Burke's friend.

She provided a subsequent update revealing that more than one person had seen the man use the TV with his feet.

Whatever you're into, right? Let's just hope he didn't have any bacterial infections.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of reactions to the footage expressed absolute disgust over its content:

But some did point out that the person filmed could suffer from a condition which prevents them from using their hands:

All of which begs the question: what do you think? Is this person someone with no understanding of societal norms? Or do we need to take a long hard look at ourselves, and consider disabilities before mercilessly judging others?
