Woman allegedly strips off on American Airlines flight and does X-rated act on plane before landing
A woman has been accused of taking off her clothing and masturbating on a recent American Airlines flight.
According to reports, Katy Inzer, 46, who was allegedly intoxicated, took her trousers off and began to touch herself while on a flight from Baltimore to Miami on September 11.
The New York Post reports that Inzer committed the lewd act shortly after the evening flight took off, per an incident report filed by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
A fellow passenger had flagged down one of the flight attendants and complained that Inzer had "remove(d) her pants and began to actively masturbate while making inappropriate sounds," the report stated.
The flight attendant confronted Inzer, who then stopped the act and put her trousers back on, before she "fell asleep for the remainder of the flight," according to the report.
When the plane landed in Florida, Inzer was approached by officers, who noted that she had "a strong odor of alcohol [sic] beverage and bloodshot eyes."
It added that Inzer claimed she had had "several drinks" before boarding the flight after it was delayed for two hours in Baltimore.
Inzer told them that she did not remember committing the alleged sexual misconduct as she “fell asleep,” according to the report.
Neither Inzer nor officials from the sheriff's office have commented on the allegations thus far.
The incident first came to light after a report from The Smoking Gun, which noted that the case was forwarded to the FBI as the jurisdiction of the alleged offense was unclear.
Just a week before this alleged incident, another passenger had claimed they were forced to sit next to a man who was masturbating on a flight.
A United Airlines passenger had claimed she was forced to sit next to the man, who she claimed was masturbating and staring at her, on an early morning flight from Rochester to Newark.
The 25-year-old, who has not been named, alleged that despite requesting to move seats, airline staff were unable to accommodate her due to no available seating elsewhere in the aircraft.
The woman says she was told that the plane would be landing in just a few minutes, but says the landing and disembarkation took much longer than anticipated.
Flight attendants allegedly asked her to return to her seat, with the woman adding: "On multiple instances, I said I feel uncomfortable doing that."
She says the man was "pretty normal looking and unassuming" and between 35 and 40 years old.
"I just got the sense he had done it before... People don't just do these things at 6AM," she reported.
"It is the the first time I've been purposely trapped by people who were supposed to be helping me," she claimed
United Airlines said in a statement, via TMZ: "The safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority. We take these matters seriously and are looking into what happened.
"We have been in contact with the customer and apologized for her experience."
