A UK-based vegan "butcher" has completely sold out following an immensely successful opening day, which saw people lining up for hours.

Opening their doors on November 1 (AKA World Vegan Day), Rudy's Vegan Diner brought the "first permanent vegan butcher" to Islington, London, where enthusiasts hoped to try the butcher's plant-based black pudding, turkey, burger patties, and more.

Along with a video of the overwhelmingly large line of people waiting to order at Rudy's Vegan Butcher, the butcher revealed that they had "SOLD OUT".

The caption continues: "This was the line at 10:54 AM before we even opened and it didn't slow down for hours! 100 online orders in the first ten minutes!"

"Thank you to everyone who stopped by, messaged with love, ordered online, and shouted out our news."

"It was an unbelievable turn out [sic]. We are so blessed to have your support and feel overwhelmed by all the love. THANK YOU, thank you a million times and more."

In another post, Rudy confirmed that they had also sold out online following the "mad rush".

"Thank you so much for your support," the butcher continues. "We’ll be back with updates when our dedicated, hardworking team of chefs has restocked. Don't worry, they're cooking away day and night to get it done."

Needless to say, followers of the Instagram account for Rudy's Vegan Butcher were thrilled by the success of the new enterprise, with many hoping for the business to branch out overseas.
