A 24-year-old woman has shared why she "looks so old" after being targeted by trolls who criticized her appearance.

Maintaining youthful looks is something that many of us aspire to do but with the increased stresses of life, it can prove to be tricky.

That being said, nobody should ever be the victim of online trolling based on their appearance.

Sadly, Kendra Sykes, a 24-year-old mother, has been bombarded with comments about her looking "old" ever since she turned 22.

In a revealing TikTok video, which has gained over 280,000 views, Kendra (@crzctldy66) sheds light on the effects of motherhood.

The clip features Kendra with her baby in the background, as she subtitles a hurtful comment left by a previous TikTok user.

The comment reads: "She looks so old and has acne… she must be a drvg [SIC] addict!!!"

With people commenting on her appearance and questioning her age and appearance, Kendra had a pretty interesting reason about why she looks how she does.

Writing on the video, Kendra replied to the comment: "Nope, I had a daughter and she stole my youth."

People flocked to the comments to offer their thoughts, with one person saying: "My mom would say this to me and I grew up feeling so much guilt. I hope you never let her hear you say that."

Kendra replied: "Never !! My mom told me she dropped out of high school to take care of me and that ate me my whole life!"

A second person said: "I had nice skin until I had my daughter. she's 17 now and gorgeous but...she took my youth and clear skin. she can have [them] I'm done with them."

While a third added: "Not true. I’ve seen vids of you with your make up on and hair done… you still got IT girl."

At the other end of the spectrum, a 63-year-old California fitness guru, Gym Tan - known as @californiaistoocasual on TikTok - has revealed her secrets to her youthful appearance, as she admits she feels better than when she was in her 20s.

In fact, in a video, she even revealed that she looks younger now than she did last year, saying: "It’s my birthday today and I’m 63. I said before that I actually think I look younger this year than I did last year.

“I think what is keeping me looking younger is not thinking about my age."

Gym revealed that she believes that she looks younger than last year, and the one key ingredient might come as a surprise.

According to Gym, it all comes down to maintaining a positive outlook on life and never obsessing about your age.

She said: "Age is just a number. I have said it before, but more than that, just focus on what makes you happy. Focus on what makes you feel good."
