There are many people out there that consider fried chicken to be one of the most valuable commodities on planet Earth - and in a weird geological twist, it seems that may actually be true.

A woman from Indiana has discovered a rare and delicious-looking crystal, that looking just like a chicken tender. Seriously, I don't know whether to display it on my mantle or serve it with fries.

Amelia Rude of Bloomington gained attention on social media over the weekend when she shared a photograph of her finger lickin' crystal online.

Seriously, it looks like something from Uncut Gems if the lead character was actually Colonel Sanders.

Amber's image first blew up on the Twitter page Garlic Powder, where the post has amassed over 52,000 retweets and 281,000 likes in less than 48 hours.

After being circulated online, one of Amelia’s friends joked that her "life had amounted to a fried chicken rock".

Amber also responded to a Twitter user asking what type of type of crystal it is - confirming that it is a red calcite cluster. (I'll take a 12-piece bucket of red calcite clusters please, with a side of 'slaw.)

The crispy crystal also made an appearance on the subreddit r/forbiddensnacks, when users couldn't help but joke about eating it.

Another Reddit user joked: "If there was ever an award for world's best fried chicken, they could use this as the trophy."

One Twitter user then shared the perfect geological delight to be enjoyed after Amber's chicken calcite, writing: "I still like the Cheesecake one better".
