Woman makes $100K a year from posting pictures of her long tongue
There are some celebrities out there who are most famous because of one specific part of their body. The actor Tom Hiddleston is best known for his bright blue eyes. Meanwhile, reality TV star Kim Kardashian is famous for her voluptuous derriere.
But on social media, a woman from West Palm Beach in Florida has managed to accrue a large following because of something a little bit different. Namely, her extra-long tongue, which has shocked, delighted, and sometimes grossed out Instagram users in equal measure.
Mikayla Saravia, a 21-year-old woman who goes by the handle @kkvsh on the image-sharing platform, was blessed with an incredibly large tongue, which measures 6.5 inches long.
Speaking of unique individuals, check out this guy break the world record for eye-popping:
Mikayla first noticed that she had a longer tongue than most in sixth grade. But rather than be embarrassed about it, she decided to embrace it and make some money out of it instead.
She currently boasts approximately two million Instagram followers. As an influencer, she can be paid between $900 and $3,000 for sharing photos and videos of her licking various foods.
She's even used her tongue to help herself cosplay, and in a recent Instagram video, she used makeup to transform herself into the Spider-Man villain Venom - a symbiote monster with a long tongue of his own.
Mikayla also has an official YouTube channel and her own app, as well as a website where she sells merch. Not only that, but she's also opened a photo studio at her home, and has been making her own music as well. What a renaissance woman!
So there you have it. The moral of the story is this: if you want to make it as a social media personality, then maybe you should focus on the thing that makes you stand out from the crowd, instead of trying to look like all the other influencers out there.
