You may laugh, but the only reason they made drinkable pickle juice is because there's a market for it. So if you're the sick person who dreams about sipping brine when you go to bed, just know the rest of the world is questioning your judgement a bit.

Gordy's has designed canned pickle juice specifically for these types of people, who prefer a jar of pickles sans the pickles themselves. The pickle company has created Fine Brine canned pickle juice for cocktail purposes (or so they say). The can even reads "for cocktails" on the front in bold print so you don't get confused. Upon further thought, I guess that the salty taste of a quality can of pickle juice would enhance a good Bloody Mary. Pickle juice is also proven to counteract alcohol's ability to dehydrate your body.

Even if you just want to experiment with the juice, you won't be down much; four 12 ounce cans are only $16.00. Considering that you probably won't need that much pickle juice for one drink, that is a decent price.

The Gordy website description for the canned pickle juice reads: "Perfect balance of salty, tangy, and sweet — this bright ingredient is a great addition to your next cocktail. Best served cold."

So next time you're wondering what to do on a Friday night, buy a four pack of pickle juice and call up your friends. Have a contest to see who can create the best cocktail.
