A popular Australian bar has come under fire for offering free drinks to women based on their bra sizes.

The Woolshed on Hindley in central Adelaide, South Australia, advertised a free drink special for their female patrons on social media. Though, there was a strange twist - having a free drink at the venue apparently comes at the price of them taking off their tops.

According to the pub, the slogan for the special is "the bigger the better," with their since-deleted social media post reading: "Hanging your bra is uncomfortable, hang it up in the shed and let loose. That means you as well boys."

If the post is to be believed, female partygoers will receive one free drink if they have an A cup bra size, two free drinks for a B cup, and three free drinks for a C cup.

However fun the Woolshed thought the themed event would be, they quickly removed it after receiving a ton of backlash online. Soon afterward, they posted a groveling apology to their Facebook page.

"We would like to address the concerns that have been raised regarding a recent social media post shared by our nightclub. We sincerely apologise for the fact that the post made some of our patrons feel uncomfortable and body-shamed as this was never our intention," the apology began.

"Based on the feedback from our community we have canceled the promotion and are workshopping ideas for different promotions that promote a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all. Moving forward senior management will be reviewing all promotional activity to ensure that it creates an inclusive environment for all our patrons," it continued.

"Your feedback is valued and helps us to create the environment that both our staff and patrons love so suggestions are most welcome," the apology concluded.

Many people took to the comments to agree that the event was a little too far, with one person writing: "Do [you] even work as a team to discuss what actually looks good for your business before letting stuff like this get posted? It's very clearly a terrible idea. Doesn't take much thinking to work that out."

Someone else added: "Was a terrible idea from the get go whoever came up with it and then allowed it to be shared should be in big trouble seriously inappropriate stuff."

Others didn't feel the event was as bad as it was made out to be. Many netizens were of the same opinion - that if you didn't like it, you don't have to go. One commented: "What is happening with this world? No one was being forced to do something they didn’t want to do! If people were offended by what the promotion was then just don't go!"

Another comment read: "No one said you had to be that size. You could have just brought a bra in whatever size, stuff it, wear it on a belt buckle or something. Could have made a great donation point for bras for homeless people [...]."
