A Canadian couple has welcomed the biggest baby on record since 2010, after giving birth to a son that weighed 14lb and 8oz.
Britteney and Chance Ayres welcomed their son Sonny on October 23, and the newborn weighed in at almost twice what most babies weigh at birth.
Sonny's birth weight became a record for the Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Ontario, becoming the biggest baby born there since 2010.
His proud parents revealed they have a history of having large babies, but Sonny was by far the largest at birth.
Sonny has three older brothers - Chance Jr., six, Everett, five, and three-year-old Lucky, as well as a one-year-old sister called Marigold.
Britteney told Good Morning America: "[Marigold] was born 13 pounds, 14 ounces. And Lucky, he was born 13 pounds, 11 ounces."
She added that both her pregnancy and the birth - which was a C-section - were smooth sailing and complication-free.
The family's doctor, Dr. Asa Ahimbisibwe, revealed that while the hospital was expecting a large baby due to Britteney's past colossal kids, even they were stunned when Sonny arrived.
Dr Ahimbisibwe told Fox News Digital: "We knew that this baby would also be a big one, but we did not expect that he would be this big.
"When the baby tipped the scales, it became real that he was indeed a big baby," adding that the doctors and nurses cheered when he was born.
The average size of a baby boy at birth is usually between 7lb 2oz and 7lb 6oz, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics, with babies being considered "large" when they are over 9lb - so Sonny being almost 15lb at birth was quite a surprise.
However, he's still a way off the biggest baby ever born, which the Guinness World Records states weighed 22lb when it was born in 1879, but tragically died 11 hours later.
Britteney, who is now a mother of five, revealed she believes her husband's height may be a factor in why they have such big babies, adding: "Chance is very tall. He's 6'2". My dad's tall so it runs in the family."
Sonny's dad, Chance Sr., revealed that he will be the couple's last child, but told Fox News Digital: "I never thought in a million years [he’d] be 14 and a half pounds.
"Everybody was making bets as to how big he was going to be, even the doctors and nurses. They put him on the scale, and it was wild. We’ve never needed newborn diapers."

And despite only being born less than a month ago, Chance also revealed that Sonny is already wearing clothes suitable for six-month-olds rather than newborns.
Sonny's oldest sibling, Chance Jr. had the best reaction to seeing his not-so-little brother, as Britteney revealed: "At the hospital, we got to FaceTime and Chancy was like, 'That's a fat baby.' But, oh my goodness, he is right."
