The actor who played Erik Menendez in the recent Netflix series about his and his brother Lyle's murder of their parents has made a confession about a shower scene...

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story has been all the talk recently after it dropped onto the popular streaming site.

It follows the story of the Menendez brothers, Erik and Lyle, who became household names in the early 1990s after being convicted of murdering their parents.

The brothers shot their father, José Menendez, five times, including a fatal point-blank shot to the back of the head in 1989.

As their mother, Kitty, tried to flee, they turned the gun on her, shooting her nine times, according to Daily Mail.

After the killings, the siblings discarded the weapons and their blood-soaked clothes and then purchased tickets to see Batman at a local cinema.

They later returned home and called 911, hysterically claiming they had found their parents' bodies.

It wasn't until six months after the murders that the brothers were arrested in March 1990.

The case quickly became a media sensation, sparking a multi-year legal battle that would see two juries, two trials, and one mistrial.

The brothers were eventually sentenced to life behind bars, but they continue to maintain that they were the victims of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of their father.

The series didn't go down well with the brothers, but they haven't taken aim at the actors at any point as their feud is with the series' creator Ryan Murphy.

Cooper Koch, who plays Erik Menendez in the series, recently opened up on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen about one particular scene.

The 28-year-old explained that one scene involved full-frontal nudity - and confirmed that no prosthetics were used.

Koch addressed the buzz surrounding a prison shower scene, telling host Andy Cohen that everything the audience saw was authentic.

While discussing iconic full-frontal moments in film history, including Mark Wahlberg’s Boogie Nights appearance in which the 53-year-old actor used a "prosthetic d*ck," Koch jumped in with a candid clarification.

“Also just to say mine was not a prosthetic,” Koch said.

Cohen, quick to follow up, responded: “Well, that was going to be my next question. Congratulations to you, Cooper. You’re very blessed, aren’t you?”

"Well hung," Koch quipped with a smile, bringing laughs from the audience.

During the segment titled 'Clubhouse of Horrors,' Koch was asked about the challenges of performing full-frontal nudity on camera.

“It’s not scary, I would say it’s just more uncomfortable at first, and it’s very cold, especially in the shower,” Koch explained, noting that while the water was initially warm, it didn’t stay that way.

Koch also touched on meeting the real-life Menendez brothers.

He described the encounter as “not super intimidating” but acknowledged feeling some nerves.

“I would say just like more nerve-wracking ‘cause I’ve known about them for so long and care so much about them. It was just like nervous, but then when I got there it was all great,” he shared.

When asked about the most frightening scene to shoot for the series, Koch reflected on the emotional intensity of filming the murder scene.

“I kind of want to say the murder scene, but then I don’t know - it was all super intense and scary,” he said. “Episode five, that was probably the most. That was the one,” he said.

You can check out the series on Netflix right now.
