Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi stepped out for the first time with their newborn daughter after the adoption reveal.
On Thursday (August 21), Brown and Bongiovi took to Instagram to announce that they had adopted a baby girl earlier this summer.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy," they wrote.
The couple signed off the post with a sweet note: “And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
On that same day, the 21-year-old Stranger Things star and her husband were photographed in East Hampton, N.Y., pushing a stroller during a relaxed family walk, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
Additional shots published by the Daily Mail showed the couple chatting over iced coffees before Brown was seen placing the baby’s carrier into the back of their car.
Brown, who kept her look casual in a pink “Mother” sweatshirt and white pants, also carried a pink phone case decorated with the letters “RWB,” which many fans believe may hint at their daughter’s initials.
Bongiovi, 23, wore a black T-shirt, khaki pants, and a baseball cap for the low-key appearance.
The adoption marks a milestone that the Enola Holmes star has long spoken about.
Back in March, during an appearance on the SmartLess podcast, she revealed she had always dreamed of becoming a young mother.
“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it's been my thing since before I met Jake,” she said, adding: “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
Brown further shared that becoming a mom was just as important to her as "establishing myself as an actor and as a producer".
She also opened up about her openness to adoption at the time, explaining: “For me, I don’t see having your own child as really any different as adopting … The energy in our house is the door is always open.”
Bongiovi supported her dream but insisted they marry first. “Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing," she revealed.
The couple, who first announced their engagement in April 2023, tied the knot in May 2024 in a private ceremony attended by close family, including his father, Jon Bon Jovi.
They posted photos from their intimate nuptials, which were hosted at Italy’s Villa Cetinale, in October of that year.
For the special occasion, Brown stunned in four bridal looks, including a breathtaking custom Galia Lahav gown with intricate lace detail for her walk down the aisle.
She also donned a corset-style dress paired with crystal-embellished Manolo Blahnik shoes, a lace-adorned dress for the cake-cutting, and a chic satin off-the-shoulder mini gown.
Now, one year later, the newlyweds are embarking on the next chapter they once only dreamed of: building their family together.
