Scary Movie actress is found dead in kitchen after failing to answer her phone
Jayne Trcka, best known for her role as Miss Mann in the original Scary Movie (2000), has passed away at the age of 62. The actress, who had also made her mark in the bodybuilding world, was found dead on December 12, 2025, in San Diego, California.
According to a spokesperson from the San Diego Medical Examiner's office to Entertainment Weekly, "There was trauma to the body, but we wouldn’t be able to indicate cause of death at this time."
She was discovered unresponsive in her kitchen by a friend who went to check on her after failing to reach her on the phone, the New York Post reports.
Trcka’s son was reportedly unaware of any existing medical conditions or illnesses that could have contributed to her sudden passing, as reported by TMZ. Her death has left many in the entertainment and fitness communities in shock, as her contributions to both fields were notable.
