Snoop Dogg's daughter tragically announces the death of her baby girl
Cori Broadus, daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg, is grieving the heartbreaking loss of her infant daughter, Codi.
The baby girl, who was born prematurely in February 2025, passed away just 10 months later.
Cori shared the tragic news with her followers on social media, expressing the immense sorrow she feels after losing her child.
“Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” Broadus posted on her Instagram Stories, alongside a black-and-white image of herself holding her daughter in a hospital. She also included an angel wing emoji in the announcement, a touching symbol of the loss.
Wayne Deuce Pays Tribute to His Daughter
Cori’s fiancé, Wayne Deuce, also took to social media to mourn their daughter’s death.
On his Instagram Stories, he shared a picture of himself holding little Codi, writing a poignant message for his baby girl: “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”
A Long Journey in the NICU
In January 2025, Broadus had shared a moment of joy when she was finally able to bring Codi home after spending 10 long months in the NICU.
“She’s home. 🤍” Cori captioned a touching Instagram post of herself snuggling her daughter in bed. She also expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support she had received, saying: “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”
However, just weeks later, Cori’s heartbreaking message on Instagram Stories revealed how quickly their world had changed.
“20 days later? Dawg I’m sick,” she wrote.
The Difficult Start to Codi's Life
Cori had announced the birth of Codi with an emotional Instagram post on February 28, 2025. At just six months old, Codi was born prematurely at 25 weeks, and her journey to life was filled with both challenges and hope.
“The princess arrived at 6 months,” Broadus wrote, sharing a photo of her newborn’s tiny foot.
She openly expressed the emotional toll the premature birth had taken on her, revealing how much she had struggled with feelings of guilt and self-blame.
“I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!”
Cori continued: “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far.”
Pregnancy Complications and Health Struggles
Cori had been open about the complications during her pregnancy.
She shared in her Instagram Stories that she was diagnosed with a severe condition known as HELLP Syndrome, which affects the blood system and liver and can be life-threatening if untreated.
Additionally, Cori revealed that her pre-existing lupus diagnosis made her pregnancy high-risk. Despite these challenges, Cori was determined to give her daughter the best chance at life.
In an interview with E! News, Cori explained how her autoimmune condition made her pregnancy even more difficult, but her love and dedication to her baby kept her going.
