The last Harry Potter book was published over a decade ago, but the franchise lives on! Fans can watch the spin-off movies, visit the theme park, play the augmented reality game, and even spend the night in a luxury replica of Hagrid's Cottage. (I can't wait until someone builds a luxury replica of Harry's cupboard under the stairs!)
If you've ever wanted to take a walk in Harry's shoes, minus the child abuse, ugly scar and peaking in high school - good news! Vans announced a "magical collection of footwear, apparel, and accessories for witches, wizards, and Muggles alike." The shoes are inspired by the four Hogwarts houses: "a Sk8-Hi for Gryffindor, an Era for Slytherin, Authentic for Ravenclaw and the Classic Slip-On for Hufflepuff," according to a company press release.
Vans has not announced a release date, but if you visit their website, you can sign up to be notified about the collection, hopefully by owl. You can also drag your cursor over trippy images of the four houses, which have an underwater effect. Hey, it's more fun than watching Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Burn! Take that, Newt Scamander!
There's no word yet on the price, but it's safe to say that unless you're a Weasley, you'll be able to afford them. On social media, Harry Potter fans are more excited about the kicks than Hagrid is about not showering. Accio this! Shut up and take my galleons! And so on.
These shoes are so cool you'll never give them away, even to an enslaved house elf.
