A comedian put a rude heckler in her place after she kept interrupting comics on stage.

In a video posted to his TikTok, comedian Kevin McCaffrey shuts down a woman who wouldn't stop cutting in and disrupting his performance. The clip starts with the woman - who Kevin describes as having interrupted every comic all night - raising her hand to speak.

"No," he says flatly, and the audience laughs. "I guess it's progress, you raised your hand," Kevin adds.

The woman, clearly annoyed, hits back at him. "Is it funny to be an a**hole?" she asks.

Check out the heated interaction in the video below:

But the comedian is ready with a quick response. "Well, no one thinks it's funny when you do it," he says, and the audience laughs loudly again. Kevin then begins: "Here's the thing, and I will honestly try to be as--" but the woman cuts him off again.

Instead, she quips: "A**hole-ish as you can?"

Looking at her with bemusement, Kevin crosses his arms and asks: "Why did you think was going to happen here today?

"Did you know that we were going to talk?" He asks, gesturing to himself and the other comedians, as the crowd continues to laugh along with him.

Taking a calmer tone, the heckler asks: "Does it not help when people interact?"

Kevin considers then says simply, "No." The audience collapses into laughter.

He goes on to explain that heckling is not in the spirit of a stand-up show. "There have been FOUR comics and three of them have not liked what you're doing," he says.

Eventually, the woman has enough. When she complains that she paid twenty dollars per ticket, Kevin hands her back her money - which she then throws in his face before storming out of the show.

Kevin takes it all in his stride, joking with the audience. However, shortly after the woman realizes she's forgotten her mother in the crowd and has to make a shame-faced re-entry to collect her.

"F*** you, and you, and you," she shouts as she pushes through the audience. Her mother swears at Kevin as they leave, and the crowd continues to laugh and applaud.

"This is why I tape every show," Kevin tells the audience at the end. "We'll put this up on TikTok and see what happens."

Since being uploaded to the platform, the clip has gone viral, amassing over 4 million views in just five days. Meanwhile, many users have taken to the comments section to praise Kevin's handling of the situation.

"Handled perfectly," wrote one user.

"Some comedians do crowd work, and it can be really funny. But you have to wait for them to initiate it. Otherwise, you're just messing up their show," added another.

"She forgot her mom? Threw cash at you and forgot her mom??" a third commented in disbelief.
