Kyle Rittenhouse is thinking about turning his recent experiences as a teenager into a coming-of-age book.

The 19-year-old stood trial last year after fatally shooting Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, as well as injuring Gaige Grosskreutz, at a 2020 Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

He was acquitted of all five felony charges, with his team successfully arguing that he had shot the men in self-defense.

Since then, the teenager has courted fame, appearing on right-wing talk shows and giving on-stage speeches at conservative convention AmericaFest. Now it looks like he may be putting his life story down on paper.

Rittenhouse's spokesperson David Hancock told Newsweek that the teenager has been in preliminary "internal discussion" about a book deal.

He explained that the novelĀ "will most likely be a story of a young man's very unorthodox journey into adulthood, what it took to make it, and the lessons he learned along the way."

Hancock then went on to say that - despite its dark subject matters - the book would take a lighter look at Rittenhouse's life.

"I'd expect it to convey positive messages. Kyle isn't a doom-and-gloom kinda guy. He's a goofy, charming, pragmatist with a very unique but optimistic worldview shaped by an experience very few people can truly relate to but many can understand," he said.

Hancock added that there are "no specific publishers in mind" at this time.

Rittenhouse has become a favorite of right-wing politicians and pundits, who have extolled the teenager for his court victory.

As well as being interviewed by Fox News host Tucker Carlson, he has also met with former President Donald Trump and had a bill introduced on his behalf by Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who wants to award him a Congressional Gold Medal.

Meanwhile, in December, Rittenhouse was given a rockstar's welcome at Turning Point USA's four-day convention AmericaFest. He walked on-stage to a pyrotechnic display, personalized theme song, and cheering crowds before delivering a speech about his experiences.
