An Australian woman has avoided jail after tracking down her husband and his mistress using an app before hitting them with her car.

Christie Lee Kennedy, 38, pleaded guilty to the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in Brisbane District Court on Monday.

The court heard last year that Kennedy had been married to David Larkin for almost a decade when she discovered he had been having an affair with Zowie Noring in March 2021.

She had tracked down her husband using a phone locator app and found him standing on the roadside in the suburb of Wavell Heights with Noring.

Kennedy then drove 45 meters on the wrong side of the road and hit the pair with her BMW SUV, sending them flying to the ground.

Afterward, she got out of the car and grabbed Noring by the hair, repeatedly punched her in the face before hurling abuse at her, including calling her a "fat moll" and a "s**t", per the Daily Mail.

A jury had found her not guilty on two counts of a malicious act with intent to disable but was unable to reach a unanimous or majority verdict on the offenses of assault causing bodily harm in September.

Two assault occasioning bodily harm charges against the mother of two were also withdrawn on Monday.  Kennedy had previously pleaded guilty to common assault for punching Noring in the face.

The incident had occurred after Kennedy used the Find My Phone app to track down Larkin after he told her he was going to pick up their children from daycare.

Instead, she found Larkin and Noring "kissing and cuddling" and accelerated towards them before applying her brakes, the court heard.

The Crown prosecutor said that after driving around 45 meters on the wrong side of the road "her vehicle struck both of them with the front side of the car. Mr Larkin was thrown into the air and onto the road."

They added: "Ms Noring was also thrown onto the road. After hitting Ms Noring, (Kennedy) immediately attacked her which shows a lack of remorse for her actions at the time by punching a person who was laying on the ground after being hit."

The prosecution had argued that Kennedy should be sentenced to three years imprisonment.

Kennedy's defense barrister Penny White argued that she had not intended to hit the pair with her car but had accelerated in their direction to "get there quickly" and "confront them about what was going on".

White added: "The only reason this happened was because her husband was kissing someone else and she wasn't aware of it."

She told the court: "A sentence of actual imprisonment is not within range for this offending in circumstances that there's no deliberate intention to hit them and she used her brakes to stop," calling for a probation order instead of jail time at sentencing.

Kennedy was eventually handed a nine-month jail sentence for the two offenses, suspended for two years, meaning she will not spend time behind bars.

Judge Smith told her: "I think it would be fair to conclude that you would be quite shocked about what you saw there despite what suspicions you had prior.

"You're obviously an excellent employee and a very good mother and it's a real shame you committed this offense but I do form a firm view that this offending is out of character and it's unlikely you'll re-offend with anything like this."

Kennedy was ordered to pay $5,000 compensation each to Larkin and Noring for the emotional and physical; damage caused, and could face a month in jail if she does not make the $10,000 total payment within two weeks.

She was also disqualified from driving for nine months and had convictions applied to her record.

A woman was left horrified after finding out that her husband was cheating on her with members of his family.

Reddit is now hailed as one of the weirdest and wackiest places on the internet, but just when you think you've heard it all, another utterly insane story comes out of the woodwork to shock you into submission - and this is one of them.

Taking to TikTok, Adriana Kucher, also known by her handle @truthifypodcast, was reading from a thread by a woman who discovered that her husband was cheating on her with his stepmom and stepsister.

"For a little while, I suspected my husband of cheating," Kucher started reading. "I didn't have any justification for thinking or feeling this way but I couldn't stop having this gut feeling that something was wrong.

She then goes on to say how the woman thought she was just being too paranoid so she apologized to her husband and "all was well for a while."

"But that wretched feeling never went away," she said before continuing: "So I decided it was time to hire a private investigator instead of playing inspector gadget myself [and] let me tell you, it was the best thing I ever spent my money on."

Within a month the investigator managed to find out that the husband was in fact cheating, though it shocked the woman to know that it was with his stepmom and stepsister.

"Not only that, but he may be the father of his stepsister's newborn baby."

Now, that's some wild s***.

Instead of exposing the husband, the woman decided that she was going to lay low and make enough money so that she could file for divorce.

"Now a year later... I've still not told anyone," the thread continued and even though he fought her for everything, she still kept quiet about her discovery.

However, she did reveal that she had a plan in place during an update.

After stating that she waited until she had received the money she was owed, she sent out an email to everyone in his family, letting them in on the husband's dirty little secret.

She even went as far as attaching pictures too!

"I sent the email as soon as I saw the money had hit my account. The first to call me was Robert and I picked up. First words out of his mouth was- YOU EVIL A** B****! I replied with- YOUR MOMMA. And I ended the call," she wrote in a new Reddit thread.

"The second person to call me is stepsisters husband. He was just heartbroken. He asked me a ton of questions and he asked for my divorce lawyers information. We also discussed him getting a DNA test for all their kids," she added.

As for the cheating family members, it seems like they got their comeuppance too.

"At some point stepsister and stepmother got in a fight. The fight was so bad that the neighbors called the police. In the scuffle to separate mother and daughter they hurt one of the police officers and were arrested. They are still in jail because neither of them have anyone willing to bail them out."

Upon hearing the full story, TikTok users took to the comments to commend the woman's plan.

"Omg this woman is a genius. Good for her," wrote one person while another added: "This needs to be a lifetime movie! Or snapped lol."

"This did not disappoint. The tea was piping hot today," a third quipped.

A woman discovered that her husband was cheating on her after seeing a clue on a fitness app.

Long gone are the days of following your other half around in disguise when they're starting to act a little sketchy, now you can catch them in the act straight from your phone.

And no, I'm not talking about stalking them on Instagram or outing them on your Snapchat when you see a username you've never seen before - things are much more complex than that now.

A woman claimed that she found out her now ex-husband was seeing a side chick through the fitness social media app, Strava.

"I figured out my ex-husband was cheating on me through Strava," she announced to her followers on TikTok in a viral video that has been viewed over 2.1 million times.

"Strava is a social media app where friends can follow each other and share their workouts with each other," Mcgee continued. "You can go on a run, a swim or a hike and post it to your Strava, and it will share with all of your Strava friends."

Of course, she and her husband followed each other on the app, but what her cheating partner failed to remember was the fact that if your account is set to public, it shares data with all of your followers - data that can clearly expose you if you're cheating - including a map of your fitness routes.

"When he first came home from deployment he wasn’t really going into to work a lot, so there were a lot of days he would go on runs," she recalled while baking banana bread in her kitchen. "There were times that I offered to go on runs with him, and he would make up some excuse about how he was going to run too far for me [or that] I wouldn’t be able to keep up."

A lame excuse if I ever did hear one.

However, things got really suspicious after her partner randomly woke up and decided he would be taking a "break" from their relationship.

"This is when I started digging in and saying something bigger must be going on here," said Mcgee and after a bit of snooping, she was disappointed to discover that she was right.

"What I ended up finding through [his] Strava running maps was that he would start his 'run' at our house and he would end it at her house," McGee said while sharing a screenshot of her ex's jog trail. "She lived probably a half of a mile away."

"So while this didn’t tell me the whole story," continued McGee. "It sure gave me a lot of reassurance about who he was cheating on me with and what he was doing all those times he was gone."

Of course, TikTokers were outraged, but also impressed by McGee's investigation.

"Smart move right there. That’s impressive (and drop that bb recipe pls)," wrote one user, while another questioned: "But the fact that you knew the house means you knew this woman and where she lived, correct? So was this one of his or your friends?"

The betrayed lover replied to the comment confirming that the assumption was in fact correct.

A third also brought up a classic stereotype: "The second you said 'deployment' I knew been there done that."

Others also shared their own stories of betrayal.

"I found mine because of Alexa. Found the drunken midnight grocery list with her laughing at his mispronunciations while in my home. Super fun!" wrote one person.

And this user also had a wild story writing: "I found out through out grocery store app. I saw that he was making purchases for items we didn’t have at a grocery store no were near our home."

This TikTok user also recalled: "I found out my ex cheated on me when the Airbnb host left a review about how 'he and Martha' were such great guests. My name isn’t Martha."

I hope y'all were making notes from this because I sure as hell have.

If you suspect your significant other of cheating then there's a number of ways you might choose to deal with this.

You might ask them upfront in a dignified yet assertive way, you might choose to ignore it (it is just a suspicion after all), or you might just decide to confront both your partner and their lover... and then completely humiliate them.

One woman, who goes by Olivia K on her TikTok account, decided to go with the latter of these options.

Taking to the video-sharing app to post a series of damning videos, Olivia shared the moment she walked in on her boyfriend and his side girl in her own home.

The first video has racked up an impressive 21.8 million views, 2 million likes, and over 6,000 comments at the time of writing.

Olivia captioned the video: "Surprise b**ches."

As part of the video text, she wrote: "Catching my boyfriend of 6 years cheat on me in my own house [sic]."

In the video, Olivia comes in all guns blazing and finds her boyfriend with another woman in her own home.

"Surprise b**ches!" she exclaims to the pair.

Awkward!

The next video that she posted of the whole affair (no pun intended) shows her now-ex-boyfriend and the other woman walking towards a parking lot.

She explains in the caption that she "went to switch the cable bill to my name with my ex and his girlfriend he cheated on me with."

Oliva then surprised her followers with a Part 2 to the video in which she walks in on her ex and his girl in her own home.

"You want to go live with her?" she asks her boyfriend in the video. "You're moving out on the street right now. How's that feel?"

In the final video, Olivia shows the moment she walked to the front door and rushed into the house she had shared with her then-boyfriend - only to walk in on him and another woman.

She explains in the video text: "Found out he was cheating the day before so I came back early from a girls' weekend to catch him red-handed."
