A British nurse has been fired from her job after being caught by a covert camera taking two tablets from the hospital supplies to treat her headache.

Headaches can be incredibly debilitating, especially when you have to work while trying to manage the throbbing behind your eyes.

It can be made a lot harder if you don't have immediate access to medication that can relieve the symptoms. One nurse took matters into her own hands and lost her job as a result.

As per the Mirror, police set up a secretive investigation in Arrowe Park Hospital after health officials reported prescription medication going missing from the hospital's stock.

They set up a secret camera in the store room and this is what captured 32-year-old Francesca Morgan helping herself to medication.

The case ended up at Wirral Magistrates Court and Morgan pleaded guilty to two counts of theft by an employee in June of last year.

Morgan's defense stated that she had been suffering from headaches throughout the day and thought she was allowed to take medication as other nurses had been doing the same.

After losing her job due to the thefts, Morgan claims that she is unable to find new employment due to this permanent stain on her record, and has since lost her home meaning she has had to move in with her grandmother.

Morgan was ordered to pay $170 in costs and a victim surcharge. The court also granted her a 12-month conditional discharge.
