Outrage has been sparked online after a plane passenger was filmed picking the dead skin off their feet.

The stomach-churning footage was shared by the popular Instagram account, Passenger Shaming, which features some of the most unscrupulous passengers on the planet to a following of over 1.1 million people.

The disgusting video was captioned: "'Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.' - Napoleon Hill".

This passenger didn't just pick the skin off with one hand either. He used two:

In the footage, the individual can be seen picking the dead skin off one of their feet, paying particular attention to its heel.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the person filming made it even worse by zooming in on the act. This meant that viewers witnessed the removal of a particularly large flap of skin which appears to have been caused by a blister.

At the time of writing, the clip has been viewed more than 112,000 times, with many viewers expressing their disgust in the comments section.

One wrote: "I'd have to say something! That's disgusting!"

A second remark: "That's just wrong!"

Whereas a third summed up most people's thoughts by simply writing: "Disgusting!"

However, disgusting passengers have hit the headlines for more than just picking the dead skin off their feet. Last year, a passenger put their trotters on a poor woman's headrest.

And then there was this passenger who used their feet to control their inflight entertainment system:

If there's a lesson to be learned from this, it's this: there is a time and a place to get your bare feet out and a mile up in the sky certainly isn't it. So please be mindful of your fellow passengers, or risk being featured on Passenger Shaming.
