A police officer from Texas was previously fired after giving a homeless man a sandwich full of dog feces and has been fired again from another law enforcement job.

Matthew Luckhurst has a love for what he calls pranks, but the majority of us would call them cruel jokes.

He was originally fired from San Antonio Police Department in 2020 following a series of offensive acts that he deemed as pranks, per MySanAntonio.

It began when he gave a homeless man a sandwich that he had filled with dog feces, and later that same year he defecated in the women's bathroom of the Police Bike Patrol Office and then smeared a brown substance onto the toilet seat and on the walls.

Luckhurst reportedly committed the second act after seeing images of the actors Ryan Gosling and Dwayne Johnson on the walls and considered it a dig at him and his male colleagues for not being as handsome and masculine.

The report continues that a note was left by a female colleague to leave the restroom clean, so Luckhurst decided not to flush. He was in the female restroom because the men's room "smelled bad."

When confronted about the incidents in 2016, he didn't deny either of them but did claim that he intended for the homeless man to throw the sandwich away and not consume it.

Luckhurst appealed his subsequent termination for four years - which is allowed by the police union's contract - until he was officially informed of his dismissal in June 2020.

Somehow, Luckhurst managed to secure another law enforcement position in Floresville, a city that neighbors San Antonio where he lost his original position.

He was employed as a reserve police officer and remained in this position for two years before his past caught up with him and he was fired last week, The Mirror reports.

Floresville police department received a flood of complaints via letter, phone call, and email from residents about Luckhurst's previous behavior after the MySanAntonio article caught their attention.

Mayor Cissy Gonzalez-Dippel released a statement on Facebook: "Unfortunately, the Floresville Police Department [FPD] was not fully aware of the entire incident involving the alleged incident.

"Please rest assured that the City of Floresville and FPD does not condone any of the alleged actions and will do whatever is necessary to ensure the continued safety of its citizens."

Luckhurst is now unemployed due to his previous behavior, and Floresville police are implementing stricter hiring policies to ensure this doesn't happen again.
