A manufacturing error has left thousands of souvenirs marking the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee in a right royal mess.

Over 10,000 mugs, tea sets, and decorative plates celebrate "The Platinum Jubbly" rather than the "Jubilee", thanks to a translation issue with the Chinese manufacturers.

But the typo hasn't stopped one wholesaler - CEO of Wholesale Clearance U.K. Karl Baxter - from trying to turn a profit.

Riffing on the connection between the souvenirs and the beloved British sitcom Only Fools And Horses - where 'lovely jubbly' was one of the main character Del-Boy's most famous catchphrases - Baxter is attempting to sell the full stock for a whopping $44,000.

The wholesaler's website markets the misprinted memorabilia as both a "unique piece of Jubilee history" and a chance to "follow in Del's footsteps," as well as suggesting the retailers could make a potential profit of almost $400,o00.

"You will notice this is probably more at home on the shelf next to Peckham Spring as these are in fact celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubbly!" the website describes the 10,800 souvenirs.

"If you are a fan of the Queen and Del Boy...two birds with one stone!" it adds.

Speaking to Daily Mail, a spokesperson for Wholesale Clearance said: "It's a bit of fun."

"I think the online trader rejected the items pretty much straight away, but in hindsight, with the exposure it's getting, they're probably wishing they didn’t," he added, saying: "Their loss will be someone else’s gain."

February 6 will mark 70 years since Queen Elizabeth took the throne.

However, the real celebrations will take place in the summer. Alongside the Trooping of the Colour (an annual parade for the Queen's birthday), there's a chockablock agenda of festivities including a Derby at Epsom Downs, a Big Jubilee Lunch, a Pageant and a live concert called the 'Platinum Party at the Palace'.

In September 2015, the 95-year-old monarch officially became the longest-ruling in U.K. history, beating out her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria's 63-year record.
