The mother of the 14-year-old boy killed in the horrific sword rampage was heard screaming after her son was stabbed.

Tragedy occurred on Tuesday (April 30) after a 14-year-old boy named Daniel Anjorin was murdered in a devastating sword attack in Hainault, East London.

It has been reported that the suspect crashed a van into a residence in Thurlow Gardens before brandishing a three-foot-long sword to attack people.

The attack left two civilians and two police officers with injuries, while the schoolboy tragically lost his life.

The young victim was a student at Bancroft’s School in Woodford Green. His school flew its flag at half mast on Wednesday (May 1), informing parents "with great sadness and shock" that another student had died due to senseless violence.

"Daniel joined Bancroft's at seven years old and quickly became a core member of our community. He was a true scholar, demonstrating commendable dedication to his academic pursuits," the school wrote.

"His positive nature and gentle character will leave a lasting impact on us. Losing such a young pupil is something we will always struggle to come to terms with," they added.

According to MyLondon a woman named Sheryl Carter, who lives on Laing Close, revealed that she heard the distressing scene from her house.

She said that her daughter was about to go to school when she heard Daniel's mom, who is a science teacher at Holy Family School, screaming.

Another neighbor saw that the heartbroken parent had to be held back by police after she rushed to the scene.

Daniel's mother is reported to have told a police officer on the scene that she had only spoken to her son a minute before the attack.

The teen's mother's school also issued a statement, which read: “Mrs. Anjorin's son was taken from this life suddenly this morning on his way to school. Please keep Mrs Anjorin, her husband, and their other children in your prayers," per The Independent.

The Metropolitan Police have announced that the man charged with Daniel's murder has been named Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, a 36-year-old dual Spanish-Brazilian national from Newham, east London.

He has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary, and possession of a bladed article, per The Telegraph.

Jaswant Narwal, chief crown prosecutor for CPS London North, said: "Our thoughts remain firmly with the family of the Daniel and all those who have been impacted by this horrific incident," per The Independent.

"We remind all concerned that criminal proceedings against the defendant are active and that they have a right to a fair trial," they continued. “It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.”

A female officer suffered “horrifically serious” arm injuries and underwent several hours of surgery, head of Metropolitan Police Sir Mark Rowley disclosed.

“The surgeon spent many, many hours basically putting her arm back together,” he said, sharing that the cop now faces a “long journey of recovery," per The New York Post.

The second officer also suffered serious hand injuries and is recovering in hospital. All four of the other victims attacked are expected to survive.

Monzo will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court later today (May 2).
