As reported by BBC News, Shane Roller, his partner Shannen Morgan, and their daughters Rubie, nine, and Lillie, four, lost their lives when their Ford Focus collided with a motorcycle on Sunday.

Additionally, Christopher and Janine Barton, who were traveling on a motorbike, also died in the collision.

The tragic incident took place between Wakefield and Barnsley in the UK.

The couple's surviving daughter, 11-year-old Poppie, was not present during the accident.

Shane’s father, Graham Roller, shared heartfelt memories of his son and daughter-in-law on social media, calling them "amazing" parents.

"On Sunday we lost part of our family, Shane Roller, Shannen Morgan and two beautiful little granddaughters in a terrible car accident," he wrote.

"Shane wasn't just a son but an amazing father and he had a heart of gold. Shannen, our daughter-in-law, was funny and was also an amazing mum and they thought the world of their little family.

"They will be very much missed by everyone that knew them but they will always be in our hearts and thoughts forever. Fly high and stay safe together. Love you more than words can say."

In response to the tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign organized by family friend Paul Hepple has raised over £342,000 ($440,000).

The page read: "We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a plea for help. On 21st July 2024, a tragic car accident took the lives of Poppie's entire family—her loving mum, dad, and two little sisters.

"At just 11 years old, Poppie has lost her whole world in an instant."

Hepple, a close family friend, mentioned that the 11-year-old will now live with her aunt, who will be her new guardian.

"She will be staying and living with her auntie, who is an amazing, loving, and capable guardian," he stated, assuring donors that the aunt would manage the donations for the girl's living expenses, education, and counseling needs.

As reported by BBC News, a man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a devastating crash that resulted in the deaths of six people.

West Yorkshire Police reported that a man has been arrested and remains in custody as the investigation continues.

Detectives are seeking information about a grey Porsche 911 that was seen in the area around the time of the collision. They are urging anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage of the vehicle and its driving behavior to come forward.

"I would like to appeal for anyone who may have seen this grey Porsche 911 being driven on the roads around the south of Wakefield or north of Barnsley to please contact us," said Det Sgt Steven Suggitt.
