Despite today marking the Coronation of King Charles III, neither his youngest son nor his younger brother will be formally involved.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Buckingham Palace has confirmed that although Prince Harry and Prince Andrew will be present at today's historic events, neither will play a formal role - instead, they will simply be spectators like many others in attendance and seated with wider members of the Royal Family.

This is due to the fact that neither the Duke of Sussex nor the Duke of York are working members of the Royal Family.

And despite thousands of Royal fans lining the streets of The Mall in London this morning, both Princes will also be absent from the Coronation Procession following King Charles III's crowning at Westminster Abbey. Many other members of the Royal Family, including William, The Prince of Wales, are expected to be part of the procession behind the historic Gold State Coach.

The Telegraph has also reported that neither Princes Harry nor Andrew will wear military uniform or robes - despite both men wearing military uniform last year for Queen Elizabeth II's funeral. However, this was allowed as a "final mark of respect", per The Telegraph.

Prince Andrew stepped down from royal duties back in 2019 following accusations and links to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Following Prince Harry's decision to depart from the Royal Family, his high-profile media appearances such as that Oprah interview, and the release of his autobiography, Spare, many questioned whether or not the King's youngest son would attend the Coronation.

However, after being formally invited, Buckingham Palace announced last month: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May.

"The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."

One source told The Telegraph that Prince Harry is not appearing today for "PR" reasons, but instead to show support for his father.

Today also marks the fourth birthday of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's eldest child, Prince Archie.
