A train driver in the United Kingdom was filmed bodyslamming a teenage boy who allegedly assaulted a ticket inspector, the Metro reports.

Witnesses on the South Western Railway train from Farnham to Ascot told how the boy was asked to leave the train by the inspector as he did not have a ticket, per Metro. Their interaction, which took place several weeks ago, became increasingly aggressive, according to a passenger.

According to a witness, the youngster began pushing the man who responded by pushing him back towards the door, insisting that he leave the train.

The teenager then allegedly began shouting profanities before punching the inspector when the train stopped over at Bagshot, in Surrey. After throwing the punch, the boy left the train and the ticket inspector followed him.

It was then that the driver of the train stepped out of the front and came to the man's defense. Again things became physical and when the boy refused to comply, the train driver appeared the bodyslam the adolescent.

According to a witness, the boy then got up and left the scene. He appeared to be proud of himself as walked away laughing, the onlooker suggested.

Below is the witness' account in full:

"The boy started pushing the ticket inspector who pushed him back towards the door of the train, telling him to get off. At this point, the boy punched the ticket inspector and got off the train with the ticket inspector following him. As this happens, the actual train driver got off the train too and got involved in a punch up whilst trying to calm the boy down. When the boy did not comply, the train driver lifted him up and threw him to the ground, telling him to 'relax yourself'."

A spokesperson for South Western Railway said based on normal guidelines, employees are advised not to engage in physical contact, but added that this particular case was an extenuating circumstance as the ticket inspector was being assaulted.

The spokesperson also stated that a full investigation is being conducted into the incident.

While the UK is in lockdown, South Western Railway has taken to Twitter to tell its customers to "please follow Government advice and don’t travel unnecessarily. Please bear with our team who are working hard to keep the country moving."
