CIA psychic spy was told to ‘visit’ Mars 1 million years ago - here's what he saw
A former CIA remote viewer and self-proclaimed psychic claimed he was psychically transported to Mars one million years ago, and he described witnessing what appeared to be the final days of an ancient civilization.
His extraordinary account has continued to attract attention decades after it was recorded, particularly because other people who have claimed to use remote viewing have described astonishingly similar scenes on the Red Planet, which takes over 7 months to get to.

One such person, Brady, said his own alleged experience was "heartbreaking and drastic", claiming he witnessed an apocalyptic event that wiped out a civilization.
"Everyone suddenly panicked, most looked up, others ran. There were screams and panic echoing off the side of buildings, I stared up and pierced my eyes through the bright daylight and there was a celestial body hurling towards the planet," Brady said.
"It was circular in shape, profoundly large, I felt a sigh of desperation and acceptance of fate," he continued.
His account bears striking similarities to claims made decades earlier by former US Army intelligence officer Joe McMoneagle, who participated in the CIA's controversial remote-viewing programme.
McMoneagle's account bears astonishing similarities
During the 1970s and 80s, US intelligence agencies investigated whether specially trained individuals could obtain information about distant locations or targets without physically being there, with the practice becoming known as "remote viewing".
The experiments formed part of Cold War-era efforts to explore whether supposed psychic abilities could have military or intelligence applications, with the Soviet Union among the primary targets.
McMoneagle became one of the best-known participants in the programme and later claimed to have successfully described secret locations and military equipment, with one of his weirdest assignments involved travelling somewhere much further away.
In 1984, as part of the programme later associated with Project Stargate, McMoneagle was given a target written on a card, with the instruction being, "the planet Mars. Time of interest, approximately one million years BC."
According to McMoneagle, he was not told what he was expected to find, instead, claiming that images and impressions of an ancient civilization began appearing during the session.
McMoneagle subsequently described seeing what appeared to be enormous structures, and in a now-declassified report, he told his supervisor: "I kind of got an oblique view of a pyramid or pyramid form. It's very high. It's kind of sitting in a large, depressed area. It's yellowish, okra colored."
McMoneagle's transcript records him saying: "I'm seeing... it's like a perception of a shadow of people, very tall... thin. It's only a shadow. It's as if they were there and they're not, not there anymore."
His alleged visions included pyramids, canyons and obelisk-like structures, alongside dust storms and what he interpreted as a deteriorating atmosphere, suggesting that the inhabitants might have been attempting to escape Mars as their world became increasingly hostile.
While there is no scientific evidence that these visions demonstrate the existence of an ancient Martian civilization, the account has remained one of the more unusual episodes associated with the US government's remote-viewing experiments.
Years later, Brady claimed to have experienced his own visions of the Red Planet, saying how he repeatedly attempted to project his consciousness towards Mars after his initial experience, eventually becoming obsessed with recreating what he had seen.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Brady said the desire to return to the experience became so intense that it dominated his life.
He described the Martian city he claimed to have witnessed as resembling modern-day Dubai, but without the social media stars with turkey teeth
"However, the atmosphere and environment seemed to look like England on a summer's day. Where I was it was bustling, vibrant and active with people everywhere. Everyone was around six to seven feet tall, really slim, with pale white bluish skin tone."
He also claimed to have witnessed the destruction of the civilization, describing an event that echoed aspects of McMoneagle's earlier account.
