Clinical psychologist spots Donald Trump making odd movement in first appearance since midterm defeat
A clinical psychologist has observed Donald Trump's behavior in his first press conference since losing the midterm elections.
The Democrats stormed to victory in Tuesday's (November 3) midterm elections, winning the Senate and the House, meaning there is now a ‘lame duck’ government.
In his first press conference since the results, experts noted that he was showing signs of 'severe exhaustion' and that it looked 'like the voting results had made the blood drain from his body'.
The President has claimed that the historic Republican loss, which saw states like Texas, South Carolina, and Kansas turn blue for the first time in decades, was because his name wasn't on the ballot.
By 2027, the Democrats will hold the majority of seats in Congress; the party will have more power to influence laws, stop Trump's plans, and have a bigger say in the US' political direction until at least 2028.
Now, the President's movements have been scrutinized by a clinical psychologist.
Donald Trump's movements are under the microscope
According to seasoned clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. G Explains, who is known for his YouTube content around politics and true crime, Trump has 'problems' with his mouth and limbs.
Dr. G pointed out that Trump spent 30 minutes talking about his ballroom in the aftermath of the midterms, as JD Vance claimed that they lost due to the Iran war.
Trump acknowledged the effects of this on the midterms, stating at the press conference: “I knew the war was going to impact it, but whether it impacted it or not, Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon.”
Describing it as 'strange behavior', the expert added: "Something we've observed from Trump over and over and over again is problems controlling his mouth as well as his limbs,
"And it appears when he's holding this hard hat, we're seeing him engage some strange behavior in his mouth as well as his arms. All of it appears to be involuntary," he says, replaying the footage.
Trump can be seen acting unnaturally with the helmet, with his arms and face suddenly moving, before returning to normal.
Dr. G added: "His behavior before and after gives me no indication that that was a voluntary behavior, and as I've talked about many times, there can be multiple reasons for something like this."
"Whether it's a focal aware seizure, whether it's something related to some form of dementia or vascular dementia or something similar, or whether it's related to scarring in the brain after a stroke, there are a wide variety of neurological reasons we might see something like this," he suggested.
There is currently no confirmation that Trump suffers from a type of neurological condition.
Trump and Vance on losing the midterms
Once a catastrophic Republican loss became clear, Vance clarified via a lengthy post: "The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
"But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there."
Trump was later asked about his Vice President's claims, which he didn't seem to oppose.
“Well, I know how he feels about it. I think it was fine. I thought it was good,” Trump responded.
He added: “We stopped them from having a nuclear weapon, and they will never have a nuclear weapon.”
