Donald Trump has said that president-elect Joe Biden will only be granted access to the White House "if he can prove that his ridiculous '80,000,000 votes' were not fraudulently or illegally obtained".

Taking to Twitter on Friday (November 27), the incumbent President tweeted to his 88.8 million followers:

"Biden can only enter the White House as President if he can prove that his ridiculous '80,000,000 votes' were not fraudulently or illegally obtained.

"When you see what happened in Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia & Milwaukee, massive voter fraud, he’s got a big unsolvable problem!"

Trump's baseless claim was accompanied by a flag which read: "This claim about election fraud is disputed".

If users were to click on the flag, they will be taken to a page with the headline: "Voter fraud of any kind is exceedingly rare in the US, election experts confirm."

The page adds: "Experts and officials said there has been no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 US elections. The election process was secure and voter fraud of any type is incredibly rare, according to The Associated Press and Reuters."

As of the time of writing, CNN projects that Joe Biden has received 306 electoral votes and a total of 80,026,721 public votes and that Donald Trump has received 232 electoral votes with a total of 73,890,295 public votes.

This comes after Trump was recorded snapping at a so-called "lightweight" news reporter for supposedly disrespecting him during a Thanksgiving conference.

Per a report by CNN, the incident in question occurred at a press conference held at the White House on Thanksgiving (November 26), in which reporters asked Trump if he would be prepared to concede the 2020 election to the president-elect, Joe Biden.

The incumbent POTUS stated that he wasn't yet prepared to concede, and continued to baselessly allege voter fraud on the part of the Biden campaign and the Democrat Party.

Trump stated: "It's going to be a very hard thing to concede because we know there was massive fraud."

He added: "As to whether or not we can get this apparatus moving quickly – because time isn't on our side, everything else is on our side, facts are on our side, this was a massive fraud."

Per The Independent, when questioned further by Jeff Mason, White House correspondent for Reuters, Trump became visibly irate and lost his cool, snapping at Mason, calling him a "lightweight" and saying: "Don't talk to me that way. I'm the President of the United States. Don't ever talk to the president that way."
