Depending on your views, this public breakup was either very fun or horrifying to watch.

The chaos kicked off after Musk walked away from his role in Trump’s administration, where he’d served as a special employee leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The flashpoint was Trump’s so-called “One Big Beautiful Act,” a budget bill that Musk torched online as a “pork-filled Congressional spending bill” and a “disgusting abomination.”

Trump didn’t take that lightly.

“Elon and I have a great relationship,” Trump said from the Oval Office on Thursday. “But I don’t know if we will anymore. I was surprised, because… we had a wonderful sendoff. He said wonderful things about me” at Musk’s May 30 departure press conference.

Then came the jab: “I’m very disappointed because Elon knew the inner workings of this bill. He never had a problem until right after he left.”

As for why Musk might’ve flipped? Trump had a theory.

“Elon is upset because we took [away] the EV mandate, which was a lot of money for electric vehicles," he said. "They’re having a hard time, the electric vehicles, and they want us to pay billions of dollars in subsidies. Elon knew this from the beginning.”

Musk returned fire almost immediately. Posting on X, he dismissed the criticism with a blunt “Whatever” and then went all in on the bill.

“Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil & gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill,” Musk posted.

Then came the dig at Trump’s signature phrase: “In the entire history of civilization, there has never been legislation that both big and beautiful. Everyone knows this! Either you get a big and ugly bill or a slim and beautiful bill. Slim and beautiful is the way.”

He also refuted Trump’s claim that he had inside knowledge of the legislation: “False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!”

But the real internet-breaker came when Musk decided to level up the feud with a post that sent jaws crashing to the floor.

“Time to drop the really big bomb,” Musk wrote. “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

Trump, who has acknowledged attending events with Jeffrey Epstein but claimed they fell out before the infamous allegations emerged, responded via his platform Truth Social.

“I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago,” Trump posted. “The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it.”

As Musk and Trump took aim at each other, Ashley St. Clair - Musk’s alleged baby mama - saw her opening.

St. Clair, 26, claimed to have given birth to Musk’s 13th child last summer and is currently in a legal battle to have Musk publicly acknowledge their son.

She’s already made headlines by filing a paternity suit, which included photos of Musk with the child and screenshots of alleged text messages between the two.

The right-wing influencer, who once boasted she had the billionaire “wrapped around her finger,” chose Valentine’s Day to drop her relationship reveal on X.

Now, she's using that same platform to inject herself into Musk’s feud with the former president.

“Hey @realDonaldTrump lmk if u need any breakup advice,” St. Clair posted on X.

While this public beef can be entertaining to read, it's also quite worrying considering it's the President against the richest man on Earth.
