Following Charlie Kirk's wife sharing intimate photos of the late right-wing activist in his casket, an expert has answered the one question that has concerned people the most.
The 31-year-old conservative figure was shot in the neck while addressing the crowd, leading to an immediate national outcry and a manhunt to capture the suspect.
The grief-stricken widow, Erika Kirk, has since shared a deeply emotional tribute to her late husband on social media.
On Friday, Erika posted a heartfelt series of images and videos from Charlie’s funeral, but many questioned why his hands appeared to look "yellow".
An Expert Reveals Why Charlie Kirk Had Yellow Hands
Following many questions about why Kirk's hands looked yellow in the images, a mortician has answered them all.
Lauren the Moritician, reposted by Kelly Jackson, on TikTok, she noted that conspiracy theorists who believe that Kirk is still alive are actually pointing out classic signs of embalming.
"The yellow coloring in his hands [is] perfectly normal in embalming," Kelly said, adding that due to circulation no longer taking place, skin can often look darker or "yellow".
She also noted that lightning in funeral homes can exaggerate the coloring.
Lauren said that hands and lips are the hardest areas for embalmers to restore cosmetically, but she confessed herself disappointed in whoever tended to Kirk's body.
She noted that the products used may not have been the best for the job, resulting in the yellow skin.
Lauren went on to explain that Kirk's body appears to have changed texture because it actually has.
While some have claimed the body is a wax figure, Lauren noted that when human blood is replaced with embalming fluid and the skin is no longer being oxygenated, the texture "shifts".
Erika Kirk's Heartbreaking Tribute
Erika also spoke publicly for the first time since her husband's assassination, delivering a heartfelt speech from the podcast studio where Charlie had recorded his political shows.
“I won’t let his legacy die,” she vowed, visibly emotional.
She also shared a poignant moment with her young daughter the night before: “‘Where’s daddy?’” the little girl had asked.
Erika said she responded gently: “‘Baby, daddy loves you so much. Don’t you worry. He’s on a work trip with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget.’”
During the address, which aired on Turning Point USA’s YouTube channel,
Erika thanked those who tried to save her husband and made sure to acknowledge his connection to Donald Trump: “Mr President, my husband loved you. And he knew that you loved him too.”
She ended with a moving affirmation of their bond: “But most of all, Charlie loved his children. And he loved me. With all his heart. And he made sure I knew that everyday.”
