A female NFL fan who was left bloodied after a violent altercation Houston Texans’ matchup has revealed she plans to take legal action.

The incident occurred during the Texans’ match against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday (September 7).

The altercation began with a verbal dispute between the fan, who was wearing a No. 99 J.J. Watt jersey, and a female Rams fan.

According to the Daily Mail, the female Rams fan shoved the Texans supporter multiple times, with others attempting to defuse the situation.

At one point, a male Houston fan, dressed in a Texans jersey, dumped beer on the female Rams fan's head. This prompted a punch to his face from a male Rams fan, reigniting the confrontation.

As the brawl appeared to die down, the same female Rams fan began physically striking the bloodied female Texans fan, leaving her face severely injured.

Video footage of the aftermath, which has since gone viral, shows the injured fan being escorted out of the stadium by security, while her male companion, wearing a blue No. 7 C.J. Stroud Texans jersey, continued to argue with security and others in the section.

In a video posted after the incident, the bloodied woman claimed she was left in a vulnerable situation after security escorted her boyfriend inside to retrieve her belongings.

“They left me out here with zero f***ing anybody, no phone, no nothing,” she said. “I’m still bleeding from the altercation. I just want this documented for the attorneys going forward,” she added.

This incident is part of a troubling apparent trend of fan violence at SoFi Stadium.

The stadium, which opened in 2020 for the Rams and Chargers, has seen multiple brawls in recent seasons. A preseason game in 2021 saw a similar fight between the two home fanbases, and violence continued throughout the 2024 season.

Diego Salazar, a witness from Section 516, stated that he rarely sees violence at Rams games, which made the recent fight stand out.

"Normally, the fans are perfect. I mean, you do have those drunk people here and there that are going to yell and talk crap," he said, per NBC News. "But other than that, I haven't really seen any fights, so this stood out to me."

Despite the chaos in the stands, the Rams held on to win 14-9 in a tightly contested game. Both teams are expected to contend for playoff spots this season.
