Former Playboy Playmate claims Hugh Hefner tried to force her to sleep with her twin sister
A former Playboy Playmate has claimed that Hugh Hefner tried to force her to engage in sexual relations with her twin sister.
Karissa Shannon, 37, has spoken out about her alleged experiences with the late founder, who died in 2017 at 91, after Hefner's widow, Crystal Harris, made allegations about the treatment of Karissa and her twin, Kristina Shannon, on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast.
The sisters lived at Hefner's LA mansion between 2008 and 2010, when they were between 18 and 20 years old.
Harris, who married Hefner in 2012, claimed that Hefner would force Karissa and her sister to take part in incestuous acts.
Speaking about her own experiences with Hefner, she said: "I do believe that I did whatever he wanted me to do. And if that involved sex, then I just did what he wanted me to do."
"There were times that were really uncomfortable for me in the bedroom. In the bedroom things would happen that ended up just not being OK," she added.
Crystal then recalled one horrific encounter when Hefner allegedly tried to "shove the twins' heads onto each other’s vaginas to get them to engage with each other sexually".
She added: "That is incest. That is disgusting. I didn’t want them to have to do something like that with each other. So that was very, very hard."
Karissa responds to Hugh Hefner allegations involving her twin sister
Following Harris' revelations, Karissa confirmed that her account was "true," alleging that Hefner had repeatedly tried to pressure the sisters into sexual activity with each other.
"He would try to force me and my sister to have sex with each other," she said in an interview with Page Six.
Karissa said that she was surprised by the public reaction, saying she had "figured people would already have assumed that" about their experiences at the mansion.
She also revisited an encounter with Hefner on the twins' 19th birthday in October 2008, which she had previously described as feeling like sexual "assault" and "rape."
However, Karissa was adamant that she and her sister never actually engaged in sexual activity with each other, despite Hefner's alleged demands.
"Me and my sister never actually did it together,' Karissa said. "So that's a statement I want to say. Like, really, we never, never had incest[uous] sex. Like, we never did that. We faked it. We faked it every time. And it was horrible. Like, we faked it completely."
Hefner allegedly believed the twins' encounters were real
Karissa claimed that Hefner never realized the sisters were pretending and genuinely believed they were engaging in sexual acts.
She alleged that Harris, who witnessed some of the encounters, knew the twins "were faking it," but Hefner "had no idea" and "thought it was real."
She said the acts of incest "made him so happy," and he even said it was "beautiful".
"He wanted to see it and wanted us to fool around with each other and said that if we really loved each other, we would do it together," Karissa added.
She also confessed that she was unaware of the extent of the sexual activity taking place between Hefner and other women living at the mansion.
Looking back, she said she and Kristina had supported each other through their experiences, eventually leaving the property after approximately two years.
Harris, meanwhile, expressed relief that the sisters were ultimately able to leave the mansion.
"I didn’t want them to have to do something like that with each other," Harris said. "So that was very, very hard".
Karissa vows to raise son differently
Karissa has also opened up about her personal life, revealing that she is engaged and expecting her first child, a baby boy she plans to name Genesis.
Speaking to Page Six on Thursday, the former Girls Next Door star said she was determined to use her past experiences to shape the way she raises her son.
"I want him to be opposite of whatever Hef was portraying," Karissa told the outlet. "I want him to be a gentleman, and I want him to have manners, and I want him to lead with his heart."
Karissa is not revealing the identity of her fiancé but shared that he is a "simple, blue-collar guy" from Windsor, Ontario and praised him for being so supportive of her past.
"He’s sweet, and he loves me deeply and unconditionally. He’s quick to defend me in comments [on social media] and supports my career and all my projects. He’s proud of who I am," she said.
