Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria has criticized the paparazzi for their conduct following the fatal shooting on the set of her husband's film, Rust.

Halyna Hutchins, a 42-year-old cinematographer was accidentally killed on October 21 after Baldwin fired a Colt revolver that had been loaded with live ammunition — unbeknownst to him.

In an Instagram post shared on November 3, Hilaria revealed that paparazzi have been taking pictures of her family "through the trees of the property", as well as chasing them around in cars.

The 37-year-old addressed her concerns in a post about her missing cat, who has now been found.

"We found him. Thank you to all of those who helped. I’m so grateful, beyond words," she wrote, before asserting that she won't name the people who aided in the search in fear of the paparazzi.

"I won’t mention you because the paparazzi and tabloid media are calling every single connection to us, and I don’t want you to be harassed too, in their frenzy to make more money," she continued.

"As I write this, there are people, taking my picture, through the trees of the property we are staying at. They have not respected our ask to have space, even after the interview we pulled over to do the other day. We have been chased around in cars—with our children. Several scary moments…this is dangerous. Please listen."

Actor Baldwin, spoke publicly about the tragedy last week.

Per TMZ, Baldwin spoke to the press on Saturday, October 30, in Manchester, Vermont. He revealed that he could not comment on the investigation, but did tell reporters: "She was my friend, she was my friend."

He went on: "The day I arrived in Santa Fe to start shooting, I took her to dinner with Joel [Souza], the director. We were a very, very well-oiled crew shooting a film together, and then this horrible event happened.

"I wouldn't know how to characterize it. They’re mortified ... There are incidental accidents on film sets from time to time, but nothing like this. This is a one-in-a-trillion episode."

The SNL star also revealed that he is in contact with Hutchins' husband and their nine-year-old son, saying: "We are in constant contact with him because we're very worried about his family and his kid."

On October 26, a district attorney in Santa Fe, New Mexico, announced that she had not ruled out criminal charges over the death of Hutchins.

"We haven’t ruled out anything," Mary Carmack-Altwies, said, as reported by The New York Times. "Everything at this point, including criminal charges, is on the table."

She added said that the term, "prop gun", is misleading and that the firearm that killed Hutchins was a "legit gun."
