First Lady Jill Biden has stirred some Christmas controversy this week, after sharing a video of the White House's decorations reveal.

Ever since the holiday-loving Mamie Eisenhower elevated the presidential Christmas decorations in the 1950s, it has become somewhat of a yearly tradition for other First Ladies to showcase their festive transformations.

On Wednesday, the 72-year-old FLOTUS shared a video on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), featuring dancers tapping through the festively decorated White House. She explained that this year's White House holiday theme - "Magic, Wonder, and Joy" - was the backdrop for the performance.

From the official @FLOTUS account, Dr. Biden posted the video along with a caption that read: "A bit of magic, wonder, and joy brought to you by the talented tappers of Dorrance Dance, performing their playful interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite. Enjoy!" Check out the video below:

The video showcased dancers adorned in vibrant costumes, their smiles lighting up the White House as they pranced and tapped throughout its halls. However, despite the cheerful atmosphere, many viewers expressed dissatisfaction, arguing that the video did not align with a traditional Christmas theme and was "tacky"

The video, filled with the rhythmic dance of the Dorrance Dance troupe, aimed to spread holiday cheer - but these reactions were far from cheerful.

"The second hand embarrassment is off the charts," one person tweeted, with a second adding: "No I did not enjoy it at all. Extremely disturbing."

A third replied: "This should’ve come with a sensitivity label. This is horrendous."

One X user even branded Biden's video "anti-Christmas", while re-sharing former First Lady Melania Trump's video from several years ago: " How utterly tacky, tasteless and ANTI Christmas. Melania's was tasteful, seasonal, appealed to everyone and was absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous."

Others argued that the video should come with a "sensitivity label", while another said that it was inappropriate for children.

However, much like with everything on social media, the video divided X users, as there were plenty of people who loved Dr. Biden's contribution.

"Totally love it, Ms Biden as much as we have showed the love for your playful creative side and arts," one person tweeted.

A second fan wrote: "That's incredible! The post brought a smile to my face. Hats off to Dorrance Dance and their hard work - I'm sure their interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite will continue to bring joy and wonder to the audience."
