She has been sentenced to 10 years in prison having made an emotional statement in her plea.
Laken Snelling sentenced to prison
Snelling, 22, pleaded guilty to the killing and attempting to dispose of the body, telling Fayette Circuit Court in August: "Instead of helping him, I ended his life.”
She has now been convicted of first-degree manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and concealing the birth of an infant.
Prosecutors had argued for that length of sentence, but had also asked for a year to be added for each of the other charges.
