Lara Trump has been criticized online following her latest Instagram post, which came prior to the Florida primary election results.
The mom-of-two got people talking following one of her latest posts, where she urged her 2.7 million followers to vote in the run-up to the Florida primary elections.
Together with her husband, Eric Trump, they could be seen posing with "I Voted" stickers, back on Tuesday, August 18.
They were both smiling at the camera, with the caption reading, 'In Florida, our 'I Voted' stickers have flamingos on them...don't forget to VOTE TODAY!!!!'
The post generated a lot of social media backlash, with users speaking about the importance of getting the right candidate in.
Ultimately, Angie Nixon, a Democratic Socialist candidate, secured victory in the Senate primary.
Nixon emerged victorious over ex-Army intelligence officer Alexander Vindman, despite the latter boasting far more campaign funds, as reported by the Irish Star.
Many took to the comments to share their thoughts on the couple's post, as one wrote: "Not good people. Don't be fooled," with another adding: "Don't vote for Trump-backed candidates. Disastrous!"
A third pointed out: "And don't forget what a disaster the last couple of years have been."
"Please vote for anyone that doesn't support Trump destroying our country," a different user urged.
But some supported Lara and Eric Trump, as another user said: "I opted for the same sticker as Laura. They had so many cute options!"
Others then urged Floridians to get out and make a difference, describing a vote as "our right" and "our power."
"Florida voters get out and vote red!" A Republican fan commented.
Nixon will now go head-to-head with Republican incumbent Ashley Moody on the ballot, after Gov. Ron DeSantis backed her to succeed Marco Rubio, who was selected as Trump's Secretary of State.
Jacksonville native Nixon has long opposed the policies of DeSantis, having organized protests against the Republican's restrictive efforts.
Some of her work includes a sit-in at the governor's office earlier this year, leading to misdemeanor charges for both trespassing and resisting.
Nixon is currently contesting these charges in court.
The gubernatorial race is currently ongoing, with DeSantis legally unable to seek another term due to limits in place.
After Tuesday's primary, it looks like projected Republican nominee Byron Donalds will face off against projected Democratic nominee David Jolly.
Lara Trump also posted a photo from a sit-down interview with Donalds, who has the President's support.
Currently the representative for Florida's 19th Congressional District, Donalds is thought to be the frontrunner to succeed DeSantis, though he has not publicly endorsed him.
Jolly, on the other hand, is a former Republican who switched sides in 2018.
He was a part of GOP Rep. Bill Young's team, with the lawyer becoming an MSNBC contributor, where he consistently criticised Donald Trump.
