Mary Trump, the niece of incumbent President Donald Trump, claims that her uncle is "flailing and desperate" over the pending result of the 2020 presidential election.

President Trump has incurred major controversy this week, after seemingly announcing himself prematurely as the winner of the election, despite the fact that that the total votes in several battleground states had been left unaccounted for.

In an early-morning press conference held in the East Wing of the White House on Tuesday, November 4, Trump seemingly accused the democrat party of electoral fraud.

Trump stated: "I want to thank the American people for their tremendous support. Millions and millions of people voted for us tonight. And a very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people, and we won’t stand for it."

Trump added: "This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country. We were getting ready to win this election. Frankly, we did win this election.

"This is a major fraud on our nation. We want the law to be used in a proper manner. So we'll be going to the US Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop. We don't want them to find any ballots at four o'clock in the morning."

In a tweet shared with his 87.7 million Twitter followers, Trump wrote: "We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed! [sic]"

The situation worsened when Trump held another press conference last night, and delivered a speech that multiple American news outlets (such as NBC, CBS, and ABC News) cut away from.

Trump stated:

"If you count the legal votes, I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us. If you count the votes that came in late, we’re looking into them very strongly. A lot of them have come in late.

"We were winning in all the key locations by a lot, actually, and then our numbers started miraculously getting whittled away, in secrecy."

When discussing her uncle's reaction to the election in an interview with MSNBC, clinical psychologist Mary Trump stated:

"Donald has never been in this place before where there’s nobody to bail him out, there’s nobody to buy him out. He’s desperate, he’s flailing, and there’s literally nothing he can do legitimately except to watch this play out helplessly."

Mary continued:

"This wasn’t just Donald obfuscating or lying. This was Donald talking about an attempted coup.

"The leader of a country trying desperately to delegitimize an election. It’s obscene, and somebody’s got to step in and stop it."

When asked about how she felt Trump would be feeling as the votes were counted, Mary replied "he’s in an uncontrollable rage, I would imagine."

Mary Trump authored an exposé of her uncle entitled Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created The World’s Most Dangerous Man, published by Simon and Schuster back in July of 2020.
