A woman from Florida allegedly saved her husband and daughter from an intruder, after she used an AR-15 to gun down someone attempting a home invasion.
Speaking to Bay News 9, Jeremy King described how his wife managed to fend off the attackers who brutally assaulted him after breaking into their family home in Lithia, Florida.
The two assailants broke into their house at 9pm on Wednesday, October 30, when King's 31-year-old spouse (who has not yet been named) grabbed a semi-automatic rifle and opened fire.
Take a look at this local news report on the incident below:King was pistol-whipped and sustained serious injuries before his wife was able to come to his aid, she shot one man after opening fire, and the two house-breakers fled the scene.
In an interview with Bay News 9, King stated: "I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head. I took a severe beating."
He continued: "They came in heavily hooded and masked. As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter. I’m telling them, ‘I have nothing for you. [And] they’re like, ‘Give me everything you got.’ It became real violent, real fast."

Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it. [My wife] evened the playing field and kept them from killing me."
Deputies later found one attacker man dead in a ditch nearby the King residence. Police are still searching for the second gunman.
