It's officially summertime and you know what that means: summer romance time, of course! There's always that something special about a love that blossoms in the hot season. Maybe it's the sun, maybe it's all of that sandy beach time, perhaps it's just the skimpy swimwear, but there's definitely something that makes summer romances heat up like there's no tomorrow.
One of the steamiest we've seen so far in 2018 is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas'. The couple have been insisting that they're just "friends" since May when they attended the Met Gala together; speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, Priyanka joked about Nick being younger than her and insisted that they attended the event as buddies, saying: "We were both wearing Ralph Lauren, and we decided to go together, and it was fun."
But we knew it was more than that when they were spotted together on multiple outings, including a Los Angeles Dodgers game where they were seen "talking really closely" and being "very smiley and very happy" and a Memorial Day boat trip where they snuggled up for a picture.
At the end of May, US Weekly confirmed that Nick and Pritanka were officially a couple, with a source saying, "They are dating and it’s brand new. It’s a good match and they are both interested in each other." However there was nothing really from the couple themselves... until now, that is.
Although there has been no official statement on the matter, we pretty much finally have solid evidence that it's way more than a friendship from both of their Instagram accounts. The Indian actress owned up on the social media site, posting her first photo of Nick to Instagram Stories. The winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant uploaded a picture of Nick standing on the beach next to an unidentified man, assumedly a family member, with the caption "My Favourite Men".
Her acknowledgement of the relationship on social media comes after Nick recently shared his own Instagram story of her which was equally as adorable. Posting a video of Pritanka giggling while walking towards the camera, sporting a cute gingham assemble, the singer simply wrote "Her" alongside a heart face. Aww, those kids!
Their Instagram posts come as the couple return from a trip to Goa, India. According to a report by Filmfare, Nick and Priyanka made their India trip so that the former Jonas Brother band member could meet the Indian actress' family and loved ones. Earlier this month, Nick had taken Priyanka as his date to his cousin's wedding, with the two arriving hand-in-hand at the ceremony, where Priyanka met the entire Jonas clan.
In the press Indian press, rumour has it, the couple are soon to be engaged, but this has not yet been confirmed. Could we have a wedding on our hands? We sure hope so, the pair are adorable together!
