Social media users have noticed that Donald Trump’s youngest child, 20, is rarely spotted without his black rucksack and have begun to ask why he keeps it so close at all times.
The president’s son, Barron, who towers over his father at 6ft 7in, is frequently photographed with an absurdly normal accessory, and the reason online commentators believe he is constantly carrying it may shock you.
In footage posted by Hot Star Stories, the content creator disclosed: "Why does Barron Trump always carry a $88 (£70.71) black school bag wherever he goes? As Trump's son, and the future heir, Barron is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, but he always carries an inexpensive black school bag.
"Barron lived a life of luxury from childhood. He was raised by Melania and had a life of ease and plenty since he was a child.
"However, no one would believe that under Trump's guidance, Barron is actually very thrifty in private. Since he entered college, he has been carrying an $88 black school bag, which makes Barron look more like an ordinary student.
"It enables him to keep a low profile, and be more approachable in public, and allows him to participate in various activities more comfortably. In addition, since Trump became President, he is opposed to extravagance and waste and has even donated his own money to charity at times.
"In order to follow in Trump's footsteps, Barron has always kept a low profile. He has never bought luxury goods.
"To some extent, this can also better shape Barron's positive image, prepare him for being the heir in the future and play a positive role in the overall image of the Trump family."
People flocked to the comments to praise his down-to-earth, frugal nature that sets him apart from his wealthy, powerful family.
One social media user said, "It seems that money doesn't corrupt him. He's not greedy like people who grew up without it."
Another added: "Barron you are different and the best. God bless."
Some people also suspected that because of his high-profile status, he does not attend his classes frequently, so he may be hesitant to spend money on accessories he’d rarely use.
According to People Magazine, Barron is in his second year of college at New York University's Washington, D.C., campus after studying in New York City for his freshman year.
The college student has been in the public eye since his already-famous father became President for the first time in 2016, when he was just 10.
