A disturbing incident at Walt Disney World Resort has landed a South Carolina man in hot water, with allegations surfacing that he assaulted a teenage hostess at a restaurant within the resort's premises.

Now, as the legal proceedings unfold, John Munro, 64, is gearing up for his first court appearance next month.

Munro's troubles began back in November when he purportedly engaged in a heated altercation with a 19-year-old hostess at Cítricos, located inside Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The alleged altercation ensued after the hostess declined to seat Munro due to the restaurant's dress code.

According to reports, Munro, described as no stranger to luxury hotels, held a prominent position as the Vice President of Hospitality, Sales, and Marketing at the esteemed Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina, where he resides. However, his association with the resort came to an abrupt end following the incident at Disney.

Karen Moraghan, spokesperson for The Sea Pines Resort, confirmed to Fox News Digital that Munro is no longer employed by the South Carolina property. Moraghan further revealed that Munro was placed on administrative leave pending review of the matter.

The disturbing encounter at Disney unfolded when Munro, wearing swim shorts and a T-shirt, attempted to join his party at Cítricos. However, his attire failed to meet the restaurant's upscale dress code standards, leading to a confrontation with the hostess.

Despite being informed of the dress code violation, Munro persisted, following the group to their table and demanding to be seated. When the hostess reiterated that he could not join them, Munro allegedly resorted to physical violence, repeatedly slapping the young woman's forehead while addressing her by name.

Although the hostess escaped physical harm, she opted to press charges against Munro, leading to his arrest by deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Upon his apprehension, Munro exhibited signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and red, glossy eyes.

Released on bond the following morning, Munro now faces legal proceedings, with a plea of not guilty entered on his behalf. As the case progresses, prosecutors intend to utilize police body camera footage to substantiate the charges against Munro.

With a pre-trial conference hearing scheduled for February 16, all eyes are on the courtroom as the South Carolina man prepares to address the allegations leveled against him.
