Teenager Darnella Frazier has been praised for filming George Floyd's fatal arrest last year, following the conviction of ex-cop Derek Chauvin.

According to CBS News, the then-17-year-old recorded former police officer Chauvin's fatal arrest of Floyd, after resting his knee on the back of Floyd's neck for over nine minutes.

This footage was one of the key pieces of evidence in Chauvin's trial, which concluded on Tuesday, April 20, after the jury returned a guilty verdict.

In an emotional Facebook post made in the aftermath Chauvin's conviction, the now-18-year-old Frazier wrote:

"I just cried so hard This last hour my heart was beating so fast, I was so anxious, anxiety bussing through the roof. But to know GUILTY ON ALL 3 CHARGES !!!

"THANK YOU GOD THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. George Floyd we did it!! Justice has been served. [sic]"

Suffice it to say that Frazier's post quickly accrued a lot of attention from other social media users, and currently boasts over 11,000 likes, 2,000 shares, and a further 3,400 comments as of the time of writing.
