President Donald Trump has once again taken to Twitter to undermine the trust and process in the US presidential election counting process.

Writing on the social media platform on Saturday (November 7), Trump made the following claims, which The Independent stresses are "unfounded".

The incumbent president wrote:

"Tens of thousands of votes were illegally received after 8 P.M. on Tuesday, Election Day, totally and easily changing the results in Pennsylvania and certain other razor thin states. As a separate matter, hundreds of thousands of Votes were illegally not allowed to be OBSERVED...

"....This would ALSO change the Election result in numerous States, including Pennsylvania, which everyone thought was easily won on Election Night, only to see a massive lead disappear, without anyone being allowed to OBSERVE, for long intervals of time, what the happened...

"....Bad things took place during those hours where LEGAL TRANSPARENCY was viciously & crudely not allowed. Tractors blocked doors & windows were covered with thick cardboard so that observers could not see into the count rooms. BAD THINGS HAPPENED INSIDE. BIG CHANGES TOOK PLACE!"

Trump then tweeted eight minutes later: "People were screaming STOP THE COUNT & WE DEMAND TRANSPARENCY (As Legal Observers were refused admittance to count rooms)!"

On each of the tweets, Twitter has included the following message: "Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process."

In adition, each of the flags includes a link that takes users to the social media company's "Civic integrity policy" page, which details that users can not use the platform "for the purpose of manipulating or interfering in elections or other civic processes."

Per a recent article from the Associated Press states that Joe Biden currently holds leads in Pennsylvania, as well as Nevada and Georgia.

If secured, this would put the Democratic presidential nominee in a strong position to capture the 270 Electoral College votes required to be declared the next President of the United States.

The news agency added that the final vote counts in several states could be being delayed by several factors, including the high turnout for the election, a huge number of mail-in ballots, and the slim margins between Trump and Biden.

As of this writing, no winner has been determined in the 2020 US Presidential Election, and per BBC News, Federal Election Commission head Ellen Weintraub has said:

"There's simply no basis for the conspiracy theory that voting by mail causes fraud."
