On July 13, 78-year-old Trump was speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania when a gunman opened fire on the former president.

Not only was Trump struck in the ear during the shooting - narrowly escaping death - but one rally-goer was killed by a stray bullet. Two others were critically injured.

As the FBI continues their investigation into the gunman - who has been named as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks - Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle is now being questioned by House Oversight Committee lawmakers over what they are calling a "complete failure".

To put it lightly, Cheatle is being dragged over the metaphorical coals as lawmaker after lawmaker have called for her resignation.

Here are some of the most brutal moments during Cheatle's questioning...

'You're full of s*** today."

Rep. Nancy Mace called "bulls***"on Cheatle, after asking her: "Would you say leaking your opening statement... several hours before you sent it to this committee as being political? Yes or no?”

In response, Cheatle said: "I have no idea how my statement got out."

"Well, that’s bulls***,” Mace replied.

But Mace wasn't done there. She went on to ask Cheatle "yes or no" questions, asking her if her performance was a "colossal failure".

"Have you provided all audio and video recordings in your possession to this committee, as we asked on July 15th? Yes or no?” Mace said at one point.

Unable to give a clear answer - which has unfortunately been a running theme for Cheatle - the director replied: "I would have to get back to you."

"That is a no. You're full of s*** today. You're just being completely dishonest," Mace scorned.

AOC tells Cheatle she's left lawmakers "flying blind"

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has also slammed Cheatle for her lack of answers during today's questioning, telling the director that it is "simply not acceptable".

"It has been 10 days since an assassination attempt on a former president the United States," AOC said. "Regardless of party, there need to be answers."

"We have to make policy decisions, and we have to make them now," AOC emphasized, telling Cheatle that - without a report - she's left lawmakers "flying blind".

"You are a complete failure..."

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was yet another lawmaker who scorned the Madam Director, branding her a "complete failure".

"People under your command did not consider him to be a threat, yet people in the crowd knew he had a gun and considered him to be a threat," Greene said. "That means that you are a complete failure as the director of the Secret Service that people under your command don’t perceive a man laying on a roof with a direct line to the president with a gun – they don’t perceive that to be a threat, yet the people in the crowd do, how is that possible?"

Greene also questioned Cheatle over whether or not the shooting was a part of a "conspiracy to kill President Trump".

"Absolutely not," Cheatle told the congresswoman.

"I don’t think you should resign, I think you should have been fired."

Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., called Cheatle a "DEI horror story," as he questioned her over the explosives found by the FBI that belonged to the Pennsylvania gunman.

When Burchett was unable to get a clear answer from Cheatle, he told her: “Ms. Cheatle, you said that the buck stops with me and I agree. I don’t think you should resign, I think you should have been fired.

"Ma’am, you are a DEI horror story. I have told my daughter multiple times, my wife and my daughter, we talk with her all the time about how she’s going to succeed in life. She’ll succeed in life by achieving.

"Ma’am, you have not achieved today. You have let the American people down. If it was up to me, you’d be gone."

As previously stated, countless lawmakers today have not only called for Cheatle to resign, but have also called on President Biden to fire her.
