A woman in Florida had a less-than-relaxing experience when she had to be rescued by a team of firefighters after she became stuck in a massage chair.

Firefighters for the Naples Fire-Rescue Department recently took to social media to share footage of the moment they were forced to painstakingly free the unnamed woman who had become trapped in an electric massage chair last week.

The footage shows the crew cutting the power to the machine and then using a grinder in order to free there woman's leg, which had become trapped in the chair's mechanism.

Writing on the department's Facebook page alongside footage of the incident, a spokesperson said: "City of Naples Fire-Rescue responded to a patient with their foot stuck in a massage chair. Power was secured to the chair and the chair was taken apart."

Check out the video below:

"The steel rods hold the rollers cut with a grinder in order to free the patient’s leg. The patient was evaluated for injuries and released from the scene," the statement continued.

The distressed woman can be heard screaming: "Oh, my God, Oh, my God."

But as the firefighters managed to free the woman from the mechanism, one of the crew can be heard saying: "We got it... It was cramped in that spot."

The video has since amassed thousands of views on social media since being shared last week, with Facebook users taking to the comments section to praise the firefighters and slam the chair.

"I went on one of these calls but for an arm stuck. Who knew massage chairs could be so dangerous," one Facebook user wrote.

Another added: "What kind of chair is this.. should be recalled. I have one.. so am scared to use it now."

Others went on to praise the firefighters for their "excellent work" and "great job".

It just goes to show you - massage chairs don't always offer a relaxing experience.
